Cement networks a number of key partners from the public, private and voluntary sectors in Hertfordshire, Essex, Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes, Northamptonshire, North and West London. The project will bring together Local Authorities, Regional Development Agencies, Learning Skills Councils, the Construction Industry Training Board, Business Links, training organisations and voluntary sector support organisations.

Together, this Cement partnership is examining the challenges of skills shortages and recruitment within the construction industry. New training structures are being developed and barriers to the recruitment are being tackled.

In addition, innovative new training structures have been developed in prisons, where Cement is supporting the process of resettlement and the development of NOMs.
